The beach is shallow, calm and is ideal for swimming & sunbathing.
Day 12: Fort Kochi: An interesting trip to “Old Kochi” by Jangar Ride & Car
Fort Kochi was an obscure fishing village that became the first European township in India, Mr. Nicolas Conti, an Italian traveler of the Middle Ages remarked: “If China is where you make your money, then Kochi surely is the place to spend it”. The town was shaped by Portuguese, Dutch and later by the British. The results of these cultural influences are seen in the many examples of Indo European architecture that still exist here.  A leisurely stroll through its streets is one of the best ways to discover all that this city has to offer – each and every nook of this island is steeped in history. There is always something interesting awaiting you like its natural harbor and historical sites. A boat ride across the breathtaking blue lagoons and backwaters offers a glimpse of Kochi’s rural life and its inherent beauty.
In the evening (If interested)–enjoy Kathakali – the exotic and universally popular performing art of Kerala. ‘Mudra & Make-up’ demonstration follows the performance. The two hours pass too soon. Back to Cherai hotel after dinner from Kochi.
