Day 1: Delhi–Chandigargh-Shimla (365 K.ms, 9 hours journey by Train & Car)
From Delhi take an early Shatabdi train to Chandigarh (breakfast on board), on arrival start driving onwards Shimla, also known as Hill Queen of India. The on road experience for today is going to be a everlasting experience for you. Shimla is situated on the elevation of 2400 Meters. Shimla was once the summer capital of British India. On arrival check in to the hotel.
Day 2: Shimla
In the morning visit Indian institute of advance studies and Jakhu temple situated on the hillock. In the afternoon visit Naldehara. One of the highest golf courses in the world made by British. On completion drive to Kufri famous site for winter game. From Kufri can enjoy the great view of Trans Himalayan range. In the evening visit Mall road and ridge. Very clean and interesting place for shopping and evening walk. Night view of Shimla is really fantastic.
Day 3: Shimla – Manali (265 k.ms, 7 hours drive )
Early morning after breakfast drive to Manali (2050 m) on the way at Mandi visit Himachal photo gallery. Very good collection of beautiful pictures of different parts of Himachal Pradesh. On completion drive to Naggar once the capital of Kullu valley. Visit famous Rorich Art gallery and museum. Later visit Naggar Castle built in 15th century by Raja Sidh Singh. Now converted in to a hotel. After drive 20 km to Manali and check in hotel.
Day 4: Manali
In the morning visit Hadimba Devi temple built in 15th century by Raja Sidh Singh, Deity goddess of royal family of Kullu. On completion visit Manu Temple, and Vashist Hot water spring. In the afternoon visit Tibetan Monastery in the middle of town. Free evening to explore the mall road. Best place to buy world famous Kullu shawls and Kullu caps.
Day 5: Manli-Rohtang-Manali (51 K.ms, 2 hours drive)
In the morning drive to Solang valley (13 Km) famous for skiing in winter and paragliding. Optional paragliding and horse ridding. On completion drive to Rohtang Pass (3980 Mtr.). Rohtang pass is gateway to tribal district Lahul & Spiti and ladakh. Closed for 6 months due to heavy snow fall. From the top you can enjoy beautiful Chandra Bhaga valley and great Himalayan Range. If the road is closed up to the pass, we shall go up to the accessible point only.
Day 6: Manali – Naggar – Kullu – Mandi (125 K.ms, 4 hours drive)
After a nice breakfast at your hotel proceed with your journey towards Kullu. Visiting Naggar Castle & Roirich’s Art gallaery on the way, proceed further to reach the town of Kullu visiting Raghunath temple and Basheshwar Mahadev temple at Bajaura. Drive along the river Beas further down to the town of Mandi, also known as Kashi of North. Later check in to your hotel for Overnight stay.
Day 7: Mandi – Chandigarh ( 205 K.ms, 6 hours drive)
Start driving on NH-21 towards Bilaspur and further to Chandigarh. You will reach Chandigarh in 5 hours drive and proceed with your own schedule further on. You may opt to take a shatabdi train till Delhi or flight from Chandigarh to your home town or a direct train.
Day 8: Chandigargh
After breakfast Sightseeing in Chandigargh. Chandigarh is the first & best-planned city in India, with architecture which is world famous, and a quality of life, which is unparalleled. As the capital of the states of Punjab and Haryana, and the Union Territory of Chandigarh it is a prestigious city. Chandigarh, is the visible sign of a dream that Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru envisaged and Le Corbusier executed. Serenity and a city are two opposite concepts, which however, get went against in the ‘City Beautiful’. Chandigarh is a rare and perfect example of modernization co-existing with nature’s preservation. It is here that the trees and plants are as much a part of the construction plans as the buildings and the roads. Some of the attractions here are: Leisure valley, Rock garden, Sukhna lake, Open hand monument & Capitol complex.
Day 9: Delhi
After breakfast take train to Delhi for your onward flight.
