Day 1: Amritsar-Dalhousie (187, 4 Hours drive)
Meals: dinner
On arrival at Amritsar Railway station board inside the cab waiting for you and drive towards Dalhousie. After reaching Dalhousie check in to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in
Dalhousie: Dalhousie (2036 m) is a hill station full of colonial charm that holds lingering echoes of the Raj. Spread out over the five hills (Kathlog, Potreys, Tehra, Bakrota and Balun) the town is named after the 19th century British Governer General Lord Dalhousie. It was popular with the British Army personnel in 1860’s. The town’s varying altitude shades it with a variety of vegetation that includes stately grooves of pines, deodars, oaks and flowering rhododendrons. Rich in colonial architecture, the town preserves some beautiful churches. St. John church is the oldest one built in 1863, St. Francis was built in 1894, St. Andrew in 1903 and St. Patric in 1909.
Day 2: Dalhousie-Khajjiar-Dalhousie (23 for one way)

Today morning after breakfast drive to Khajjiar, one of the most scenic and saucer shaped Plateau, which is surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests. After visiting Khajjiar back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Khajjiar: Khajjiar, 23 from Dalhousie is also called mini Switzerland of India. Khajjiar is situated at a height of 6400 ft above sea level. Hutchison writes, “Khajjiar is a forest glade of great beauty, 6400 feet above sea level”. Khajjiar is often reffered to as “Gulmarg of Himachal Pradesh”. The lush green meadows are surrounded by thick pine and cedar forests. Grazing herds of sheep, goats and other milch cattle present a prefect pastoral scenery. Khajjiar is one of the most scenic and saucer shaped Plateau  surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests. Its beauty has further been enhanced by a small lake in the center with a floating island. And a 9-hole golf course here is the other interesting places to cover. Much of the lake here has degenerated into slush because of heavy silting during rains. Still the landscape of Khajjiar is picturesque and a photographer’s delight.
A little away from the lake is the temple of Khajji Nag belonging to 12th C. AD. In the mandapa of the temple one can see the images of the Pandavas and the defeated Kaurvas hanging from the roof of the circumambulatory path. The sanctum of the temple has been beautifully carved from wood.
Day 3: Dalhousie-Dharamshala ( 140,, 3 hours drive)

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel, drive to Dharmashala. On arrival check into at hotel.  Relax for a while to get recharged, and head for a local sightseeing covering official residence of Dalai lama, Mcleodganj etc. The village of McLeod Ganj lying in the upper reaches is known worldwide for the presence of the Tenzin Gyatso. In May 1960, the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) was moved to Dharamshala. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 4: Dharamshala-Kullu-Manali (7.5 hours drive)

After a delicious breakfast check out from the Hotel & drive to Manali via Kullu. By enjoying the wayside attractions you reach Manali. Check in to the hotel. Free at leisure at hotel. In the evening you may explore the Local Market. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.
Kullu: The most charming and beautiful Kullu valley spreads out its charm on either side of river Beas. The valley runs north to south of this river and is 80 long and about 2 at its broadest. Yet with awe inspiring glens and mossy meadows encircled by the rushing streams and meandering brooks, flung east & west, a fairly wide area is open to the tourists, the trekkers, the mountaineers, the artists and to anyone who wishes to escape the heat & dust of the plains to breathe the exhilarating air of the Himalaya and enjoy the spectacle of the variegated mountain scenery. The valley is also famous for its exquisitely woven colourful hand made shawls and kullu caps.
Manali: Manali 40 from Kullu is situated near the end of the valley on the National Highway leading to Leh. The landscape here is breath taking. One sees well-defined snow capped peaks, the Beas river with its clear water meanders through the town. On the other side are deodar and pine trees, tiny fields and fruit orchards. It is an excellent place for a holiday, a favorite resort for trekkers to Lahaul, Spiti, Bara Bhangal (Kangra), and Zanskar ranges. From temples to antiquity, to picturesque sight-seeing spots and adventure activities, Manali is a popular resort for all seasons and for all travellers.
Day 5: Manali-Rohtang Pass (Up to snow line)-Manali (Rohtang Pass tour)

Today morning after a sumptuous breakfast, Drive to Rohtang Pass (up to snow line if Rohtang Pass is closed). Enroute visit Nehru Kund, Gulab Gorge, Kothi, Marhi, Rahla, Waterfalls etc. Rohtang Pass is famous for it’s mountain peaks and adventure activities. Enjoy Skiing, Horse Riding, Yak Riding, Snow Scooter ride (on your own expenses) In evening back to Manali. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel.
Rohtang Pass:
Rohtang Pass, Known for its scenic beauty, holds strategic importance for India. The pass is open from May to November. It is not particularly high or difficult to cross on foot by Himalayan standards, but it has a well-deserved reputation for being dangerous because of unpredictable snowstorms and blizzards. Literal meaning of Rohtang Pass is ‘Pile of corpses’, for all the people who lost their lives while crossing the pass. But in the recent times, to explore this 13,000 feet high destination with its captivating beauty thousands of people come here. And it has become one of the most popular tourist spot. Rohtang pass happens to be one of the few destinations in India where one can go skiing as it snows for almost all the months of the year. The pass is open from June to October each year although trekkers can cross it earlier. About 53 km from Manali, it connects Kullu valley with Lahaul and Spiti which in turn provide access to Leh. There are beautiful sight of glaciers, peaks and Chandra river flows down in the Lahaul valley.
Day 6: Manali-Kullu-Manikaran-Manali (Manikaran Sightseeing tour)

Today morning after breakfast, go for a day tour to Kullu & Manikaran. On arrival in Kullu you can do River Rafting (on your own) and shopping of World famous Pashmina Shawls. Then visit Vaishno Devi Temple and local market. Afterwards proceed to Manikaran. On arrival take a bath in Natural Hot Springs of Sulphur and then visit old Ram Temple and Gurudwara. Manikaran is located in the Parvati valley (Altitude of 1760 Meters) and along the river Beas. Later at 5 pm return to Manali. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
Manikaran (1700 meters above sea level), is 45km from Kullu, is famous for its hot springs. Thousands of people comes here for taking holy dip in hot waters here. The water is so hot that rice & vegetables etc. can be cooked in this. It is also a well known pilgrimage place for both Hindus & Sikhs. Ramchandra and Shivaji temples besides a Gurudwara are the other attractons. According to an old legend, Manikaran is connected with Lord Shiva and his divine consort, Parvati, who lost her ear rings here, which gave birth to hot waters on the bank of Parvati river. Hearing this religious myth from the priests here will be really interesting.
Day 7: Manali-Kullu-Shimla ( 270, 5 hours drive)

Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to shimla. Enroute visit Hanogi Mata Temple and stop for a while at Pandoh Dam built on river Beas. On arrival in Shimla check into the hotel. Evening time is free for exploring ridge ground and mall road after that Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
Hanogi Mata Temple:
This is a small but nice temple on the way to Manali from Shimla near Mandi. Located on the Mandi-Manali National Highway, this popular Temple is dedicated to Hango Mata, this Hindu temple is visited by devotees all the year round. Located atop a small peak, green mountains serve as a backdrop for the temple and a gleaming stream flowing below makes this temple a stunning attraction. A look on the idol of Mata just gives divine pleasure to the hearts.
Day 8: Shimla-Kufri-shimla (Kufri & Shimla Sightseeing)

On 8th day morning after a delicious breakfast with lots of fruits, proceed to Kufri. Enjoy the sights of snow capped mountains and dense forest with the rich flora and fauna, also enjoy the horse riding in the apple orchids. Back to Shimla and visit jakhu temple, christ church, scandle point, Ridge ground etc in shimla. Evening time is free for stroll in famous Mall road. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Kufri: Kufri is 16 km away from Shimla, this place has long been famous for its ski-slopes and five views of deep valleys and thick forests that are framed by a backdrop of un-melting snows. Ski-runs are there at Kufri itself, while the Mahasu Peak that is approached through a two km long forest trail, has fresh runs. There is a small zoo at Kufri. The drive between Kufri and Chail is along the Ridge shaded by trees and has fine views. Kufri also has the Himalayan Nature Park. In this park rare varieties of Hangal, Barking Deer, Musk Deer, Brown Bear, rare species of Monal and other pheasants are kept in social groupings.
Day 9: shimla-Amritsar (6 hours drive, 300

After Breakfast check out from hotel, drive to Amritsar and arrive to Amritsar, check into hotel. In the evening visit Golden Temple, dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10: Departure Transfer

Today’ s plan depends on your available time. If time permits you can visit Golden Temple in the morning & Wagah Border to view change of guard ceremony. On time we drop you at Amritsar Airport/Railway station for onward journey.
